Rajeeb Dey’s business, Enternships, has been identified as one of the UK’s most innovative and exciting small businesses, transforming the field of graduate recruitment. Rajeeb’s accolade was announced at a national final held at the exclusive Paramount members club on London’s Tottenham Court Road. The event was attended by leading celebrity entrepreneurs including Shaf Rasul, Michelle Dewberry, Will King and Nicky Kinnaird.
Enternships was created by Rajeeb as a means of connecting students and graduates to start ups and SMEs worldwide who provide entrepreneurial work placements. Rajeeb started the business while still a student at Oxford University, as a result of his own experiences with international internship placements, and has seen the business grow dramatically in recent years.
The award sees Rajeeb scoop the awards’ top prize of £5,000 plus business mentoring from leading entrepreneur Michelle Dewberry, winner of BBC’s The Apprentice and founder of successful small online business, Chiconomise, and new Business Matters columnist.
Simon Devonshire, Head of O2 SME Marketing, comments: “Rajeeb is an inspirational young entrepreneur and fully deserves to be named as the O2 X Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He has applied his own experiences to find a gap in an already tough business filed, and has demonstrated business acumen and insight far beyond his years.”
Delighted winner Rajeeb, adds: “I am delighted to have won the O2 X Young Entrepreneur of the year award. To be able to have access to such experienced entrepreneurial advice as well as monetary investment in our business is what every entrepreneur dreams of, particularly when you are just starting out. This award is really going to take our business to the next level.”
Launched in 2003, The O2 X Awards provide a valuable platform for small businesses to highlight their achievements at a grass roots level through to national awareness. Selection criteria focus on cutting edge innovation, creative vision and a drive to succeed.
